ABOUT

The Community Food Bank in Fairfield, Texas, started in 2004 with a few bags of groceries and a handful of volunteers. We prepared sacks and handed them out of the back door of the church. Later, we acquired a bigger facility where patrons could come inside. After several more years, we not only offered food but also began distributing household items such as paper products, toiletries, dishes, and even appliances.

Today we are located at a brand new 7500 sq. ft. warehouse with a beautiful lobby. We are able to assist our patrons in the lobby and also provide a drive thru pick-up service. We offer assistance with government help such as SNAP, CHIP, Medicare, and Medicaid. We also provide free mammograms upon request.

The Community Food Bank was a vision of Pastors Robert and Lissa Smith who serve at River of Life in Fairfield.
